EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW · ASK ME ANYTHING

Morocco is one of the safer countries I know for travellers, and I have been guiding here for over twenty years. Use the same common sense you would in any city, keep half an eye on your bags in busy souks, and you will find Moroccans among the warmest, most welcoming people you will ever meet. I am with you the whole way, and I answer my phone at any hour.

October to April is dune season — warm days, honest cool nights, and long low light. May and September are lovely shoulders if you travel like a local: out at dawn, resting at noon. From June to August I usually steer guests toward the High Atlas or the Atlantic coast instead, and the trip loses nothing for it.

Everything starts with a conversation, not a brochure. Tell me your dates, your interests and how you like to travel, and I draw a route to match — slow or full, five stars or a fire under the sky. We refine it together by call or message until it feels entirely yours, then I guide you myself from the airport to the last goodbye.

Every journey is built around you, so inclusions vary, but as a rule: private transport, accommodation, a knowledgeable guide — me — and the experiences we agree on together. International flights, visas and personal spending are usually your own. I will always give you a clear, itemised quote before you commit to anything.

I guide privately — never a bus, never a group of strangers bundled together. Most journeys are for couples, families or small groups of friends, from two people up to around twelve. Whatever your number, the pace and the plan are shaped entirely around your group.

A small deposit secures your dates once we have agreed the route, with the balance due before you arrive. I will always confirm the exact terms in writing before asking for anything, and I never ask for full payment months in advance.

Yes, easily. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergies — tell me in advance and I will arrange it with the riads, camps and restaurants along your route. Moroccan food is wonderfully adaptable, and I want you eating well every day.

Layers, always — desert nights are colder than people expect. A warm layer for the evenings, breathable clothes for the day, comfortable shoes, a scarf against the sun and dust, and a good camera. I send every guest a full packing list once your dates are confirmed.

WhatsApp is fastest, and I read every message myself — no call centre, no bots. You can also email me or use the contact form here. I usually reply within a day, morning and evening, Zagora time.
